The Larvling has been added to the game! And with Warframes being all about their abilities, it's important to know how to handle this tiny guy!

Here are some tips that I've found useful when trying to keep track of my little larva friend around pesky mission objectives.

How to get kuva lich to spawn

There are a few ways to get Kuva Lice to spawn.

1) Capture the special kuva missions.

2) Complete any of the non-kuva missions and capture at least 1 cell, this allows for kuva missions to spawn from the enivornment as well as from enemies killing by large groups of players.

3) Having a player with the 'Hands of the Lotus' rank 5 ability on your squad will basically spawn Kuva on all missions. Be sure that the mission is not a kuva mission already, as this can cause it to be a waste of time and energy!

What is a Kuva Larvling and what does it do ?

The Kuva Larvling is a special kind of larva that spawns in set locations. It looks very similar to the normal kuva larvae, but it's glow is more vibrant and pulsating with energy.

It doesn't seem to do much other then just run around and such, but there are some special abilities it has.

How to get Kuva 

1) Get near it and hold 'action' to obtain kuva.

2) For some reason, you have to complete the mission in order for your kuva to be added to your total.

3) You can obtain kuva from the larvling without completing the mission as long as it's still alive.

4) Capturing a larvling adds 25 kuva to your total if you have not done the mission already and another 50 for doing so.

Where to find Kuva  Larvling

There are 8 spawn locations for larvlings to spawn . This can be found by selecting 'kavat' in the menu.

The first row is home of the normal Kuva Larvae which will only spawn under certain conditions, these wil show up as kuva missions with no secondary objective.

Tips on farming Kuva

Heres a bit of advice when you want to farm kuva for yourself.

1) Capture the infested cell from any mission and this will spawn Kuva Larvlings from the enivornment. This is because any cell captured by players counts as 'killed' and summons larvlings in return. Capturing both cells spawns 2 larvae.

2) Kuva respawns are random, but if you want to farm them the best thing to do is fly through nodes doing evac missions or capture everything possible during sortie/cetus bounties.

3) Having a player with the 'Hands of the Lotus' rank 5 ability on your squad will basically spawn Kuva on all missions. Be sure that the mission is not a kuva mission already, as this can cause it to be a waste of time and energy!

Cooking with your new found riches of kuva

Kuva in its raw form can be used for a few things.

1) Adding charges to your kuva shield allows you to get free finishers when your shields are down. Requires 90k kuva per charge.

2) You can use kuva to reset your warframe mastery ranks, this is done by talking to the little guy that looks like a quill standing in front of an Orokin elevator.

3) Kuva can be used as fusion fuel for kuva catalysts, this refills the requirements to build those items again. You'll need 3-5k for each point spent on a Catalyst as well

Conclusion

The Kuva Larvling doesn't serve a very important purpose in the long run, but maybe it will be needed for future events. We can only hope!
